How we rank laundromats
LaundryRank gives every laundromat a score from 0 to 100. The score answers one question: how much do people like this place, and how sure can we be?
The LaundryRank Score
We start from two public numbers on each Google listing: the star rating and the number of reviews. A rating built on many reviews is more reliable than a rating built on a few, so we pull places with few reviews toward the average of their city. In practice, 5.0 stars from 10 reviews scores lower than 4.8 stars from 900 reviews.
The result is a weighted average that we turn into a 0 to 100 scale, where 100 is a perfect 5.0. City rankings only include laundromats that are open and, in bigger cities, have at least 10 reviews.
Services and tags
Tags like wash and fold, pickup and delivery, 24 hours or serves businesses come from the business's own Google listing (its description and hours) and from topics reviewers mention often. They are signals, not guarantees. Confirm prices, hours and services with the laundromat.
Prices
Prices per pound come from each laundromat's own website, read in October 2026. We keep its standard wash and fold (drop-off) price and, when listed, its pickup and delivery price. We skip promotions and prices for comforters or dry cleaning. See wash and fold prices by city.
Where the data comes from
Ratings, review counts, hours and descriptions come from public Google listings, checked in October 2026. We do not accept payment to change a score or a rank.
